okay playa! I see you!
This is a page inspired by Ben’s notion that blog rolls don’t do enough justice.
Every last Monday of the month (it started as more often, but I just can’t keep up with that) I will be showcasing some blog posts that I think are great, so that all of you can read what some great bloggers are up to. As bloggers we are all in this together, so what better way to show my appreciation of what others are doing than to shine some light on the many talented writers out there.
Also I put some other stuff here that I’m feeling, just because I can.
Enjoy.
5/12/08
- White-Collar Rednecks list of skills is brilliant.
- Kristen shows us men how to safely operate our tools.
- The cat has not been the same since.
- Are people in cafes trustworthy? Or just French?
- Boogers are a sign of love sometimes. It’s true.
- A slap on the ass from LeBron makes me one jealous blogger.
5/19/08
- Tell me there’s a cooler instrument than the Keytar. You can’t. (A Blog of a Good Time)
- Is that Shakespeare? (Every Gym’s Nightmare)
- If John Stamos is doing ER, how are we ever going to get a Jesse and the Rippers reunion tour??? (The Light(er) Side of Growing Up)
- A much better breakdown of the Bible than I did. (Mental Three Sixty)
- Public transportation is fun. No really, it actually fucking sucks. (Your Beard is Good)
- Mo money mo problems. (Hollywood Sucker)
Possibly the best basketball sequence ever filmed. The song that goes with it is one of the top ten songs ever made.
5/27/08
- Showing some love to the less popular shows of the 80’s. (The Daily Tannenbaum)
- What life should have been like. (The Typing Makes Me Sound Busy)
- Beware of the Pigeons. Seriously. They are out to get you. (The Strict Shenaniganist)
- A super power even Superman would be jealous of. You know, if he liked pop music. (My Boring Life)
- More famous than I will ever be. (Zombie Fights Shark!)
- People shouldn’t ask for directions if they aren’t ready for the consequences. (Big Time Fancy)
If you don’t know about Blue Scholars already, you need to check them out. One of the many reasons I listen to hip-hop is for the ability of a talented lyricist to transport me from where I am to where they are through their words, and this song, “Joe Metro” is hip-hop at its best. I couldn’t embed it so please just go watch it, I promise you’ll like it. If you don’t like it, I’ll buy you a Twix.
6/30
- Neighbors can be upsetting. (A View From 5280Ft)
- A journey back in time - featuring tater tots. (Whiskey Marie)
- When you’re about to be homeless, it’s nice to know your Mom loves the idea. (More is Better)
- When Drunken Meth Addicts move out, it’s A Good Thing. (Never Been Cool)
- It was his birthday, but you’d never have guessed it. (Arjewtino)
- The start of a new tradition that I can really support. (The [Cherry] Ride)
- Not the best response when someone is trying to get you in bed. (The Everyday Adventures of Me in the City)
- Pondering poop. (A Mask To Hide Behind)
- A woman willing to stand up for men everywhere. (Good Things Come to Those Who Whine)
- Now that you mention it, Goldie Hawn is pretty weird looking. (You Are Flawed if You Are Not Free)
- Expiration dates? No need to bother. Right? (Please Don’t Eat With Your Mouth Open)
- The best note I’ve read in a long time. (That Night)
- Loving the cubed life (Speak On It)
- She handled this very maturely. (NYC Ponderings)
- The terror level had been elevated - just in elevators though. (Look Back in Anger)
- One cool Mom. (No Ordinary Rollercoaster)
- Navigating the heat wave with creativity. (Hobocamp)
- Even God likes chocolate frosting. (Twenty Somethings)

Hey-O - I made the list. Thanks. And also thanks for that basketball sequence. If only the Cavs offense looked like that. We only get two more years of the King before you steal him away with your shiny lights and multiple skyscrapers.

I’m so glad you did this! It takes some of the guilt off of me for keeping my blogroll stale, like my bread.
Keep up the good work!

Excellent idea. If blogger let me create pages within my blog (stingy bastards), I would be doing the same. But then, I’d be copying your idea and it wouldn’t be special. I guess I’m just that kind of guy.
